Princess Charlotte was seen reaching over to pull Louis’ hand away from his face before the Princess of Wales can be seen exclaiming: “Charlotte.”
The young princess then mimicked Louis’ action to demonstrate why she intervened before seemingly being reassured by her mother that she could leave her brother to it.
A clip of the moment on TikTok, where it was liked more than 700,000 times and viewed 11.6 million times after it was posted with the message: “She always stops him.”
One fan wrote “Prince louis so cuteee i cannotttt,” while another said: “charlotte is the real heir,” and a third said: “I love Charlotte, she’s very responsible.”
One TikTok user also pointed out the princess was likely motivated by a desire to ensure her brother looked his very best in the public eye: “That’s a good sister. Mine sabotaged me to look bad so she benefited to look better in comparison.”
The Wales children won the nation’s hearts over the Platinum Jubilee long weekend, from Thursday, June 2, to Sunday, June 5—especially Louis.
Among his adorable antics, he was seen blocking his ears and screaming as jets flew overhead and put his finger defiantly over Kate’s mouth as he sought to assert his will as only young children can.
Together with older brother and heir to the throne , the trio appear to get on famously during official royal outings, even as their father’s relationship with his brother, , has been under the microscope.
First born William is the direct heir to the throne in his generation, while Harry, born second, says he was viewed as the “spare,” which was also the title of his memoir.
That status appears to have left the young brother with some difficult feelings, raising questions for William and Kate about how to manage complex sibling power dynamics to leave the next generation with less tension and conflict.
