has quite a few famous exes who have made appearances in her songs. Now one of her closest friends —also a singer/songwriter — has revealed a wild story about one of her own exes.
Musician Este Haim, a bestie and collaborator of Swift, 35, took to to reveal the shocking tale about an ex-boyfriend who borrowed money from the Haim singer — and what he actually did with it.
In the post, Este, 38, pulls her sunglasses down to the lyrics, “Why am I in this relationship” from one of the singer’s own songs.

Over the video reads the words, “When I was in a relationship with a man who convinced me to pay for his mom’s surgery but he instead used the money for a lavish mediterranean vacation with the woman he was cheating on me with.”
The caption said only, “I wish I was kidding …”
The post immediately garnered hundreds of comments in support of the singer. She is now engaged to tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin, which she announced on Instagram on February 15, 2025. The post shows off her engagement ring, and the singer is wearing a t-shirt with the words “I’M TAKEN” across the front.
Haim, the band — made up of Este and her two younger sisters, Alana and Danielle Haim — opened for Swift during part of her Eras Tour and often joined her on stage for their collab, “No Body, No Crime” (Which name-drops Este in the fictional crime track.) The sisters also appeared in Swift’s “Bejeweled” music video.
“She never complains,” Este in September 2024. “She’s the most incredible performer, and so inspiring as a friend.”
That same month, Este gushed in a (formerly ) that Swift is “the best and she deserves every accolade that she’s ever had. She’s a true genius and she’s also like the best friend and the best hang.”
