Video footage of sharing a heartwarming behind-the-scenes moment with her fans following her concert performance in Spain has gone viral online.
The pop star on Wednesday and Thursday as part of the European leg of her , which last year became the first ever tour to break the $1 billion barrier.
Following her first show in the Spanish capital, a fan shared footage of Swift walking through the largely empty stadium as a group of diehard devotees waited to catch a glimpse of the star.
As Swift made her way into view, the waiting fans on the upper and lower tiers began cheering and screaming, prompting the musician to wave at them. Flanked by a team that included security, the star continuously waved as she made her exit.
After the footage was originally posted on by fan @bernrocsal, it was , formerly , where as of press time it has garnered more than 400,000 views.
“Her little double-handed heart grab at the end,” one fan wrote in response to the seconds-long clip, adding a welling up emoji to emphasize their appreciation.
Video footage of also went viral this week on TikTok, with Swifties dubbing her a “multi-lingual queen.” During the performance, Swift told the crowd “Bienvenido a la Eras Tour,” which roughly translates to “Welcome to the Eras Tour” in English.
A was shared to TikTok on Wednesday by user @jessicagolich. It received over 650,000 views in less than 24 hours.
Swift’s Eras Tour ensemble includes 16 back-up dancers, four vocalists and a dedicated live band. The three-and-a-half hour show features 44 songs across 10 acts, with each “era” inspired by a different album and time in the singer’s life. However, the setlist was recently updated following the release of her 11th studio album, (TTPD), in April.
Within hours of its release, TTPD smashed streaming records, including becoming Spotify’s most-streamed album in one day, with 300 million streams in 24 hours, the platform revealed on its social media accounts.
The album recently claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts for the . It is the first album to do since Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time was on top for its first 12 weeks, between March 18 and June 3, 2023. TTPD is also the sixth album of Swift’s to reach No. 1 on the album charts.
Earlier in May, Swift had four nights of sold out performances at . The next stop on her tour is the French city of Lyon, where she will perform at the Groupama Stadium, supported by the band Paramore.
