Princess Charlotte being “iconic” in front of the cameras has gone viral on in a compilation of some of her commanding moments.
The nine-year-old royal already has a growing online following, despite not yet being out of elementary school, as well as a reputation for keeping her siblings in line.
Some of her most interesting public appearances went newly viral on TikTok in a video liked 40k times and viewed more than 230k times.
was shared with the on-screen caption: “Iconic moments of ” and the message: “#PRINCESSCHARLOTTE | she’s an icon.”
Among the clips, Charlotte is seen taking control during a potentially awkward moment at ‘s funeral when she and older brother were both attempting to greet a member of the clergy.
Charlotte calmly waited for George to wrap up his conversation before gently guiding him out of her path with a hand on his back.
And in another she pulled ‘ hand out of his mouth as they watched the Platinum Pageant on June 5, 2022, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
It isn’t the first time royal fans have spotted Charlotte stepping up to help keep her brothers in line during public appearances.
Other have shown her giving Prince Louis tips on how to act in public, or telling Prince George when to bow.
Charlotte’s confidence comes despite the fact she is not a direct heir to the throne and therefore comes behind George in the line of succession.
She will, however, be unusual as a female “spare” with a younger male brother in Prince Louis, who is below her in the queue.
The first born child of a future monarch is known as the “heir” because barring death or abdication they will one day wear the crown, while the second is sometimes known as the “spare.”
Traditionally, boys were bumped above girls, meaning a first born girl with a younger brother would not inherit the crown.
However, in 2013 the Succession to the Crown Act scrapped the practice, known as male primogeniture, meaning for the first time Prince Louis does not automatically get promoted above his older sister.
Whether her greater status becomes a blessing or a curse is yet to be seen since made clear in his book, titled Spare, that he believes the role comes with some considerable drawbacks.
