People magazine seems to have swapped its May 27th cover featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Nigeria for a new one with Kate Hudson. Ouch, that must sting. It appears Harry and Meghan just don’t sell – not even the Sussex Squad could save them from being removed from the cover of this ordinary celebrity magazine.
Kate Hudson, on the other hand, is an actual star. The other two are just pretenders; their fake grifting doesn’t deserve the front pages. Meghan apparently believes Prince Harry could have been a Hollywood actor, thinking her husband has the talent for the silver screen.
Amid rumors of Meghan pursuing a Hollywood career again, a source told Life & Style that “Suits is such a hit in reruns that Meghan’s being told there’s a demand from fans to see her act again, and she’s excited.”
The insider continued, “She had received numerous offers over the last 5 years but turned them down to embrace Royal life and later to work behind the scenes in Hollywood with Harry.
But now things have changed with other opportunities drying up, she’s actively looking for roles and talking to some big directors and producers.” Harry is apparently “100% supportive of all of it.”
Acting is what Meghan knows and has always loved, and she believes her husband could also enter the acting world, though he’s currently focused on his philanthropy.
The source added, “She says he’d be a good actor but Harry fears he’d be ridiculed for it, so it’s unlikely that he’d co-star with Meghan. You never know what the future holds though, he might do it one day.”
An anonymous source also revealed in a blind item that Meghan encouraged Harry to pursue a leading role in a new movie alongside Kate Hudson.
However, insiders note that Harry might face difficulties securing even a supporting role due to the competitive landscape. In a recent interview, Kate Hudson highlighted the challenges of finding male leads for romantic comedies, especially as the genre shifted to streaming platforms.
Hudson discussed the difficulty in securing male movie stars for rom-coms and suggested diversifying the pool by bringing in actors from other genres like Marvel.
The New York Post’s Page Six previously reported that Meghan has been in talks with various brands to work with on social media. She’s particularly keen to sign with Juul Cartier as she works towards the future after signing with Hollywood agency WME.
An insider told the publication that Meghan was set to go live on Instagram but changed her mind shortly before launching her “Archetypes” podcast, so it’s just sitting there now.
In an interview with The Cut in August 2022, Meghan revealed that she was considering returning to social media, saying, “Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back on Instagram.” She’s also planning to relaunch a lifestyle blog, “The Tig,” to rival stars like Gwyneth Paltrow.
A sour source told Heat magazine, “Meghan’s determined to get back on top and secure her place as Showbiz royalty. She’s preparing to get back on Instagram, relaunch a lifestyle brand, ‘The Tig,’ do talk shows, and launch a huge publicity blitz. She wants to be seen on the same level as global stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah, and Angelina Jolie.”
Meghan and Harry are also set to produce a film adaptation of the bestseller “Meet Me at the Lake.” The insider said, “It seems to be all about her, and Harry’s not quite sure where he fits in.
The Spotify deal didn’t work out, and the Netflix deal has been scrutinized as well, so Meghan’s been pushing the idea of them working separately. She feels that it would benefit them as a couple if they weren’t constantly working side by side. He often feels out of the loop with a busy schedule, but Meghan has felt for a long time that she’s lost a voice regarding her public image, and she wants to get that back.”
