This club is located near their California home, and Harry plays on a club team there. It seemed like a typical Sunday outing for the Sussexes to support Harry in his sport, but things took an unexpected turn when Meghan arrived wearing a dressy pantsuit ensemble and heels.

While heels may be perfectly acceptable for most events, the ground at polo fields can often be uneven, muddy, and unsuitable for open-toed or thin-soled shoes. This allows her to comfortably interact with crowds while still looking nicely dressed in support of William. Meghan could have potentially avoided issues by adopting a footwear approach more along Kate’s lines.

Of course, not everyone at the polo club was upset with Meghan that day. Many Royals fans have rallied in her defense, condemning the unsavory behavior from those few individuals. There is no excusing public harassment of any kind.

 However, we’ve also seen backlash against the Sussexes whenever they appear to want the privileged status of royalty without fully adhering to duty-related expectations. In response to such controversies, Meghan and Harry continue promoting their Archewell Foundation, focused on equality, compassion, and mental health, areas directly relating to challenges they faced. They seem determined to use their prominent platform to enact positive change, and they maintain a home in California to shield their family from some of the problems Royals face in Britain and worldwide fame.
