The Princess of Wales has become the focus of a new viral video, as footage from her arrival at Westminster Abbey on the royal’s fairytale wedding day in 2011 has resurfaced on social media site .
Kate married on April 29, 2011, 10 years after the couple first met while studying art history at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. The couple began dating soon after and their relationship was made public by the British press in 2004.
The royals’ early relationship saw a renewal of interest in late 2023, as their romance was dramatized in ‘s hit royal drama series, The Crown, where they were played by Meg Bellamy and Ed McVey. The couple did not publicly comment on the show or their portrayal.
William and Kate will celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary in 2024, and together have three children: (born 2013); (2015); and (2018).

The clip shows Kate’s entrance to Westminster Abbey on the arm of her father, Michael Middleton, including her long walk down the aisle to the music of Hubert Parry’s I Was Glad, the arrangement for which was originally composed in 1902 for the coronation of Prince William’s great-great-great-grandfather, King Edward VII.

The viral video has received in excess of 56,000 likes and over 1,000 comments on the social media platform so far, many of which have praised Kate and her appearance.

“She must have been terrified knowing millions were watching her but, she was flawless and natural,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “Look how tightly she’s holding her dad’s hand when they reach the alt[a]r, she handled the pressure so gracefully.”
Upon her marriage, Kate acquired a number of royal titles, the most senior of which was the Duchess of Cambridge. In 2022, when King Charles III acceded to the throne, he made Prince William the new Prince of Wales, a title the king had previously held for over five decades.
