Music is often considered medicine for the soul and one dog went viral on TikTok after he couldn’t control the music speaking to his soul.

In a TikTok video posted to the account @haleyandthepets earlier this week, dog owner Haley asked her to play the song “Gas Pedal” by Sage The Gemini featuring IamSu. She knows her , Dunkin, loves dancing to the song and wanted to film his reaction. It was proof to those who doubted her when she said he “throws it back” to certain songs that speak to his soul.

Dunkin immediately barked when the song started. He turned around in anticipation for the beat to drop. He backed up against the wall and tried lifting his paws to land on the wall, but no luck at first. It took a little encouragement from Haley before he got his back paws up against the wall and his butt in the air, making a “twerk” formation.

While she excitedly screamed, Dunkin’s as he successfully performed the trick. He kept his paws on the wall for a few seconds before jumping to Haley. He wanted her praise for successfully doing his dance.

The caption reads: “Dunkin knows good music when he hears it.”

His dance moves are nothing new to Haley. She told Regalrumination.com via TikTok that she taught him how to do a handstand and the rest was history. Now, he’ll do this move with all types of songs.

“He gets so excited with music and doing his trick, which is why he barks so much during it,” she said. “He’s actually a pretty quiet dog up until he is throwing it back.”

However, there are some songs that “aren’t twerkable” for him, she said. Those songs don’t have a certain beat for Dunkin to gain traction to get his paws up.

Within three days, the video amassed over 20.5 million views, 4.3 million likes and 8,798 comments. People couldn’t get over his being better than theirs.
