In a recent interview on the BBC, Diddy’s former publicist shared some intriguing insights about the music mogul’s desire to have Prince William and Prince Harry at his parties. 

According to the publicist, Diddy is a quintessential narcissist who is primarily focused on himself. “From the moment he wakes up to when he goes to bed, it’s all about Diddy,” the publicist explained. 

This self-centeredness extends to his fascination with the British royals; he was reportedly obsessed with the idea of having Prince Harry and Prince William in his entourage, seeing himself as a king who should be surrounded by princes. However, the royal brothers never accepted his invitations to his parties.

While there are photos of Diddy with the princes, they were not taken at his events. It seems Diddy’s yearning for royal company never materialized. “He really did think of himself as royalty,” the publicist said, adding that it’s ironic how Diddy is now more famous than ever, despite the royal snubs.

Diddy himself confirmed that while he wished to host the royals, they never showed up, revealing a level of disconnect between their worlds. His publicist expressed concern that Diddy’s attempts to befriend the princes seemed less like genuine camaraderie and more about self-promotion.

Interestingly, this obsession with royalty mirrors certain aspects of Meghan Markle’s public persona. Both Diddy and Meghan display a degree of narcissism, though their paths diverge significantly. 

While Meghan’s actions have garnered public sympathy and support, Diddy’s recent controversies have placed him under scrutiny. The connection here is more about their attitudes than their actions, highlighting how both seem to have a keen interest in royal status.
