“I will never be the one to be like, ‘Excuse me,'” Glaser told actor Dax Shepard in the Monday, February 24 episode of his . “It’s almost rude what I do when I’m in the same room as Taylor Swift, because I won’t even look her way.”
Despite not wanting to act like a super-fan in front of her favorite star, Glaser told Shepard that she was sure Swift, 35, would be “nice” and her reasons are for the sake of her art. “I don’t wanna take someone’s energy away [since] I require their energy to be put into making great music. I don’t want her to make a less great song because she had to be like, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and like, hold me as I’m crying.”
In fact, the 2025 Golden Globes host — who catapulted to a household name after her roast of on in May 2024 — told the podcast that respect played a huge role in her becoming such a die-hard Swiftie.
“Taylor had something to prove,” she told Shepard. “Even showing up on the scene, coming out as a country artist and then making it into pop music … she definitely is inspired by people doubting her … The difference between great and good is just hard work.”
Glaser told People in December 2024 that she spent nearly $100,000 on Swift’s Eras tour. In addition to her own ticket purchases and travel, she always paid for her guests, too.
