A rare piece of memorabilia has been listed for sale on eBay with a staggering $1 million price tag. The handwritten lyric sheet, which claims to feature Swift’s own writing, has drawn attention for its unprecedented valuation in the world of pop culture collectibles.
Why It Matters
Taylor Swift’s influence in the music industry is immense, with her lyrics often regarded as deeply personal and poetic. The skyrocketing demand for her memorabilia reflects her cultural impact and the growing market for rare music collectibles. Previous sales of Swift’s handwritten lyrics have fetched significant sums, though nothing close to the current asking price on eBay.
What To Know
The eBay listing advertises the handwritten lyrics as an “authentic piece of music history.” The seller on eBay notes that the item “Comes with letters of authenticity from JSA and Beckett authentication.”
However, Regalrumination.com cannot currently verify the authenticity of the product.
This is not the first time Swift’s handwritten lyrics have been auctioned; a framed lyric sheet for her debut single, “Tim McGraw,” previously sold at Goldin Auctions for over $80,000. That item, which included Swift’s signature and a signature from co-writer Liz Rose, came with authentication from industry-recognized sources.
A separate auction at Julien’s Auctions also featured handwritten lyrics for “White Horse,” a song Swift co-wrote with Rose. That sheet, penned entirely by Rose, was estimated to sell for between $600 and $800 but ultimately closed at $384.

What People Are Saying
The eBay description of the Taylor Swift memorabilia: “The most famous person on the planet right now. Taylor Swift has sold 150 million albums worldwide and just wrapped up the highest grossing tour of all-time. All of her success can be traced back to her very first single released in late 2006 entitled Tim McGraw (when Taylor was only 16 years old!)”
“Listed here are handwritten lyrics of her very first single ‘Tim McGraw.’ Signed and dated by Taylor Swift and her cowriter Liz Rose. Taylor donated this magnificent piece to the 2007 CMA award show fundraiser the night before the big show. A truly one-of-a-kind piece from the biggest star on the planet!”
What Happens Next
It remains to be seen whether the eBay listing will attract serious bidders at the current price. If the item sells, it could set a new benchmark for the value of music memorabilia, particularly from modern artists.
