Swift called Melbourne “the love of my life” as she revealed her shows there were the biggest concerts she had ever played on a tour.
The “You Belong With Me” singer played three dates at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in February 2024 as part of her Eras Tour. Each night she performed her songs from her catalogue in front of a huge crowd of 96,000 people.
On her final night on February 18, the appreciative star told the cheering crowd that they were the biggest tour concerts of her career.
A clip , formerly , showed the “Love Story” singer telling the audience, “96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night, 96,000 people tonight.”
“All of that, those are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on a tour and you did it three times,” she added as Swifties in the audience started to scream and cheer. “The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights. Melbourne, you are the love of my life. I cannot believe you, what have you done. It’s just incredibly nice to do for someone. Make them feel welcome like that.”
She later said that her Melbourne dates had been “unforgettable.”
“You were on another LEVEL,” the Grammy-winner wrote as she shared a carousel of images from the concerts. “Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often.”
Swift made two stops during the Australian leg of the Eras Tour. After Melbourne, she moved on to Sydney where she performed a run of four nights at the Accor Stadium.
“Espresso” singer Sabrina Carpenter was the supporting act for Swift’s Australia shows, opening for her in Melbourne and Sydney.
