Swift’s popular dancer Kam Saunders tickled fans in Ireland when he yelled a cheeky Irish phrase during an Eras Tour show.
The dancer was performing with the chart-topper at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 28, 2024, when he jokingly called out “póg mo thóin,” which is slang for “kiss my butt” in Gaelic. It delighted the crowd, who roared their approval at Saunders putting a twist on his usual delivery for their benefit.
The hilarious moment came as Swift was going through the Red era of her show.
The singer was belting out “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and it has become a tradition for her to offer the microphone to Saunders during the track so that he can say something. Swift says: “This is exhausting, you know, like we are never getting back together…” Then Saunders chimes in to say something along the lines of: “Like, ever.”
But on this occasion, he switched it up and served up the phrase for the crowd, triggering screams and applause.
The gig was the first of Swift’s three dates in Dublin, with the star performing to around 150,000 fans across the three nights. As she arrived in town, the “Bad Blood” singer had a very special welcome from the band U2, which was formed in Dublin.
She shared a snap on her Story showing a gorgeous bunch of flowers and a note from Bono and his bandmates, which said: “Dear Taylor, Welcome back to our hometown … leave some of it standing?!!!!”
It was signed by “Your Irish fan club, Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry.”
“Already feeling that Irish hospitality!!” Swift wrote as she shared it on Instagram. “@U2, thanks for always being the classiest and the coolest.”
