designed her own — most noticeably a red “T” charm on a thigh chain dangling from the slit in her sparkly mini-dress. It has been widely reported that the T was for , her boyfriend who is getting ready to play in the Super Bowl on February 9. (His team, the , are known for their red uniforms.)
But was the charm so prominent that another hidden message went undetected?
Swifties have taken to (formerly ) to protest the singer’s earrings getting virtually no press. The accessories have 12 stones each, with the most eagle-eyed fans noting that the number could represent “TS12,” a working title of sorts that eager fans have called her next album, Reputation (Taylor’s Version), also nicknamed “Rep TV.”
“Taylor wore earrings w 11 stones at the Golden Globes on January 7th, then announced TS11 28 days later on February 4th, 2024,” explained , who did the math and predicted that if Swift’s message is accurate, Swift plans on announcing her next album on Monday, March 2. (Although she later called the prediction part of her message “delulu,” or delusional.)
Swift has become famous for using her clothing to communicate with fans. At the recent Grammys, fans theorized that her aforementioned T charm was a direct reference to the lyric “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh” from the Tortured Poets Department track “Guilty as Sin.” Last fall, a necklace of her initials, TS, got flipped upside down and resembled a 12, like the Grammys earrings a possible reference to TS12. And her costumes while on her last tour, Eras, became so defining that her fans knew which “era” of music she was about to sing as soon as she walked on stage, by her look alone. Finding an outfit to match an era became the thing to do for all of her concert attendees.
“Why is no-one talking about the fact that the earrings each have 12 stones???” asked . “This is one of the most stereotypical, Taylor-esque Easter eggs she’s done in a while and I’ve not seen anyone mention it.”
“I mentioned it on a post and nobody replied or commented,” responded . “It was the first thing I noticed!”
