Together, we’ll continue to create and deliver content that reflects the current and ever-changing face of the worldJob DescriptionPosition Overview:The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for working with key NBCUniversal stakeholders, internally and externally, to generate demand in the marketplace and increase sales, specifically for NBC Sports’ television and digital properties.This position will report into the Director of Trade Marketing.Responsibilities:
- Develop Sales Collateral: Work with Director in creating and maintaining NBC Sports’ suite of sales materials across all properties (NBC Sports, GOLF, Telemundo Deportes, Universo, Peacock, social and more): sales presentations (generic and customized by brand), one-sheets (i.e. research-based highlights, program overviews), web landing pages, media kits, email blasts, client-direct mailers, event/hospitality collateral, etc.
- Results, Reporting and Renewals: Support pre & post-sell process for the Sales team (building collateral during the pre-sell process, working on recap presentations for the post-sell process); work collaboratively with counterparts across organization to refine and enhance client-facing materials
- Hospitality & Events: Assist in event management (ideation, venue exploration, creation/design of branding, list management & day-of execution) in collaboration with Sales, and oftentimes Corporate Events, for one-of-a-kind events at sports events to help Sales strengthen their relationships with key client attendees
- Communication/Facilitation: Support the Director on inbound marketing requests across the NBC Sports and NBCUniversal portfolio; liaise with all appropriate internal groups (Creative
Partnerships, Consumer/Trade Marketing, Research, Sales, etc.) to facilitate efficient and transparent communication – all in an effort to maintain accurate information and positioning of NBC Sports within the organizationQualificationsDesired Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with an agency, client, media company, or sales organization background
- A comprehensive understanding of the entire Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator proficiency is preferred)
- Proven ability to create innovative designs, develop visually captivating and clear creative solutions, while adhering to brand guidelines
- General understanding of advertising marketplace across various platforms
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research tools – the standard media measurement and research tools (Nielsen, MRI, Simmons, comScore, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and ability to derive insights and craft sales stories based on relevant data
- A detail-oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects under tight deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Demonstrates strong organizational, project & event management skills
- Superior interpersonal skills (i.e. ability and comfort interacting with all levels of management)
- Exhibit core behaviors (e.g. clear and concise communication, client service, strategic thinking, problem-solving, etc.)
