Applicants will not be accepted from outside of the department.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists the section supervisor in the support for all Division of Administration system and application development efforts through activities involving the analysis, data modeling, navigational design, workflow design, security design, coding, maintaining, testing, debugging, implementing, reporting, scheduling, and integrating of both new and existing systems or applications; ensures user specifications and needs are being met; coordinates with Information Technology on issues related to Systems’ processes, databases, and data processing; installs or oversees the installation and security of Systems’ customized applications.Monitors inbound and outbound FLAIR FTP data files for agency systems including initiating remedial actions as needed; monitors the regularly scheduled Systems’ processes and data validations ensuring successful and timely completion; processes data validations; assigns related tasks and reviews these task assignments in the absence of the section supervisor.Uploads, downloads, acquires, extracts, and transfers data using Natural programming, Natural Connection, scripting processes, FOCUS querying, COGNOS querying, WinZip processing, EOS processing, FTP processing, and other data collecting, transferring, and processing methods or tools; interfacing with FLAIR, MyFloridaMarketPlace, PeopleFirst or other internal or external systems.Writes and maintains design and technical documentation or other operating procedures including detailed workflow charts or diagrams that describe inputs, outputs, and logical operation of the systems, applications, or processes that include both the details related to the operational requirements and the detailed instructions and procedures to guide users and other personnel in their proper operation and execution.Trains and assists Systems’ staff in areas related to the execution of operating procedures and duties of their positions.Researches and responds to user inquiries in a timely manner; provide data and reports to external entities such as the Office of the Governor, DOH Executive Management, and auditors; assists staff throughout the Department in Systems related areas as needed.Completes special projects, performs other related duties and special projects as required.Required to travel, be available within two hours in case of emergency, and adhere to Department, division and bureau policies and procedures.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Experience working in FLAIR setting up accounts, RDS profiles, and FLAIR printer profiles. Experience in working with data elements and troubleshooting data inconsistences in both Microsoft Excel and Access. Experience working with FLAIR batch file transactions and validating, processing, and diagnosing and communicating file errors with the requesters of these. Experience in processing PeopleFirst OCA validation files. Ability to effectively manage time to complete all daily tasks and communicate clearly with both colleagues and customers.Qualifications:Preferred – Knowledge of data processing principles, practices and techniques, multiple methods of data file processing, and data and system integration. Working knowledge of SQL Server application development.
