Connectivity Point partners with top manufacturers in the technology industry to be able to offer a wide range of services and products to cater to diverse needs and we can assist our customers with design, installation, and support.Connectivity Point is currently looking for full time Security Solutions Service Technician’s to support jobsites in Maine and South Carolina.The primary role of the Security Solutions Service Technician is to troubleshoot, identify, escalate, and resolve security system problems for our customers. The Security Solutions Service Technician will complete all phases of the project’s installation including, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer support during field visits or dispatches, diagnosing errors or technical problems, and determining proper solutions. The areas of expertise are varied and require advanced technical knowledge of security systems including installation, programming, cabling and testing of low voltage and security products. Security Solutions Service Technician primarily performs these services at our customer’s facilities. A strong, comprehensive background in electronics, computers, IT networks, and audiovisual industry best practices is preferred. This position requires attention to detail, punctuality, and good communication skills.Responsibilities:
- Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, Intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.)
- Performs alarm system upgrades, andadditions, along with trouble shooting new installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes.
- Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation.
- Assist the Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
- Performs customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
- Performs system testing and signal
- Manage several small to large jobs simultaneously and doing so within approved hours and margin tolerances.
- Attends classroom and field training as
- Demonstrate Connectivity Point’s core values as a highly skilled leader on the installation team.
- Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements while complying with company’s vehicle
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures; and reports all accidents, hazards, and equipment

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
- Minimum of one to two years in the physical security or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running small to large size jobs required.
- Solid security and alarm system industry experience includes installation, programming and service of IP Video Systems, Access Control Systems, and Intrusion
- Possess or have the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Maine State Limited Low Energy license).
- General working knowledge of building codes, network architecture, electrical codes, communication standards and
- Ability to follow blueprints, notes and specifications to meets the job
- Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end users.
- Experience with construction and adherence to large and small project
- Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast paced workenvironment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook and teams)
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a professionalteam
