Singer Sabrina Carpenter appeared to have a pyrotechnic mishap onstage, with fans worried she was hit by a firework.

The was performing at the Outlands Festival in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on August 10 when a rogue firework seemed to frightened her, as she ran away screaming.

Videos posted to social media showed Carpenter standing on steps toward the back of the stage when she jumped, screamed, and ran forward, and her fans are questioning how she’s doing after her onstage scare.

“Sabrina girl are you okay? you scared us with your screams at the end of the show with the pyrotechnics,” wrote one fan on . The user added in another comment: “The ending of the show looked like something straight out of a movie. poor sabrina was SCARRED for life with those fireworks.”

Some media outlets have reported that the singer was hit in the chest by a firework. Regalrumination.com has contacted Carpenter’s representatives for comment by email.

Following her set at the festival, Carpenter uploaded a series of photos to Instagram, in which she praised her crew for helping to bring the show together. The post included photos of her performing onstage with special guest Kacey Musgraves and posing backstage with her dancers.

Carpenter captioned the post: “Headlined @outsidelands 😮 thank you to everyone who came. special thank you to the angel that is @spaceykacey for coming out to sing and dance to Nancy Sinatra with me :’) and thank you to my whole team and crew. all the talented people who made this show happen on and off stage, i love you all so much.”

Fans used the post’s comments section to discuss the pyrotechnic mishap and ask if Carpenter was doing well after the scare.

“Our polly pocket was NOT prepared for the pyro and fireworks at the end of the show,” one user wrote.

“Those screams at the end of the show,” another added, “THAT WAS NOT PLANNED AT ALL.”

Carpenter, 25, rose to fame as a star on the Channel show Girl Meets World. She released her first studio album in 2015, and earlier this year, she on several of her Eras Tour stops in Latin America, Australia and Singapore.
