Since Princess Kate’s absence from the public eye while , fans have taken to social media to share favorite highlights from past appearances and events, including spotlighting the royal’s relationships with her three children.
One of the latest of these, uploaded to TikTok by user, princess__jo, on May 28, captured during a charity video call during the COVID pandemic and Charlotte, during her first day of school in 2019.
The footage of Kate was captured in 2021 during a video call she made to thank teachers for their efforts while schools in Britain were adapting to remote learning as a result of the pandemic.
While speaking to members of the Casterton Primary Academy in Burnley, England, the princess briefly adjusted her ponytail hairstyle, twisting her locks around her fingers.
The TikTok footage has matched this movement with one made by Charlotte outside the Thomas’ Battersea school which she attended with until 2022.
The clip has received in excess of 120,000 views and 1,000 likes on the platform so far, with a number of users praising the post and the two royals.
“Like mother like daughter,” wrote one TikTok user.
“So cute,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “Prayers for Princess Catherine and family.”

In March, the princess expressed a wish for space and privacy for herself and her family while she focuses on her health.
“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said.
“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”
