Royal author Tom Quinn, in his book *Yes, Ma’am: The Secret Life Of Royal Servants*, sheds light on this dynamic. Quoting a former Kensington Palace staffer in an interview with *DailyMail*, Quinn reveals that Kate’s resilience outshone Meghan’s. “Kate is actually a much stronger person than Meghan in many ways,” the staffer shared.

The insider explained that Kate embraced guidance from everyone around her—whether it was junior staff, with whom she built warm rapport, or the more aloof courtiers who initially looked down on her. “Kate was always happy to accept advice,” they noted, contrasting her adaptability with Meghan’s experience.

The staffer added that both women endured “the same kind of backbiting, gossipy criticism,” but their perspectives diverged sharply. 

Where Meghan perceived Kate as being manipulated or “pushed around,” Kate viewed the scrutiny as a necessary rite of passage in royal life—an essential part of her role within the monarchy.

Since leaving, Meghan has held onto her royal titles, though she no longer enjoys the privileges tied to the family amid an ongoing rift. Kate, on the other hand, has solidified her place as a cherished figure in the royal fold, cementing her status within “the Firm” with grace and determination.
