Princess Beatrice has been pictured attending a Spotify event despite the streaming giant cutting ties with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last year.

The Princess of York was photographed at Spotify’s intimate evening of music and culture at Cannes Lions 2024.

The event in France featured a performance from singer John Legend.

Princess Beatrice posed alongside Spotify’s Chief Public Affairs Officer, Dustee Jenkins in Cannes.

Beatrice is Prince Harry’s cousin but she is not as close to the Sussexes as her younger sister Princess Eugenie.

In June 2023, Spotify announced that its partnership with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had come to an end.

Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast left executives at the streaming company underwhelmed.

The couple were later branded “f*****g grifters” by Bill Simmons, head of podcast innovation and monetisation at Spotify.

In February 2024, Meghan Markle announced a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media.

The deal saw Lemonada become the new host of the 13 episodes of the Archetypes podcast that the Duchess of Sussex made for Spotify.

Meghan is expected to launch a new podcast for Lemonada on a different topic to the exploring of stigmas which Archetypes focussed on.

Over the weekend, Princess Beatrice attended an event in Sweden’s capital city Stockholm.

King Charles did not invite Princess Beatrice to attend Trooping the Colour or appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the flypast with senior members of the Firm.

Instead, the Princess of York attended the Brilliant Mind conference in Sweden.

Beatrice was invited to the two-day event which is said to “champion the scientists, explorers, artists, thinkers, and innovators who dare to ask the big questions”.

Celebrities such as Ellie Goulding, Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon also took to the stage during the event.

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi shared pictures of Beatrice at the event on his Instagram story along with the caption: “My brilliant wife”.

Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie frequently featured at Trooping the Colour until 2019.
