Donald Trump’s recent meeting with sparked questions about the President-elect’s true height.

Trump appeared shorter than the future king of England in pictures despite having been listed at 6ft 3inches tall in official taken at Fulton County Jail, in Atlanta, Georgia, last year.

Prince William is said to be 6ft 3inches himself, suggesting the pair would be equal in height when stood side by side.

However, during a one-on-one meeting in France alongside the re-opening of the refurbished Notre Dame Cathedral on December 7, there appeared to be a noticeable difference.

One comment on Twitter read: “Fun fact – Prince William is 6’3″ and the clown telling anyone who will listen he’s 6’3″ – even wearing the lifts in his shoes – is significantly shorter. This may come as a shock but Trump is lying.”

Anglican priest Daniel Brereton wrote alongside three ‘eyeroll’ emojis: “Trump says he is 6’3. Prince William is “also” 6’3. What a liar the Prince of Wales is.

Regalrumination.com has approached Trump’s campaign team for comment.

Prince William has long been reported to be 6ft 3inches though the exact origin of the statistic is slightly harder to pin down.

It has, however, been reported in the British press dating back to at least 2009 when cited in an article about royal height in the U.K. newspaper Daily Mail, which suggested he would tower over his “titchy royal ancestors.”

William is also not the only example casting doubt on Trump’s height after the President-elect appeared shorter than , who is said to be 6ft 2inches.

Speculation over Trump’s height has been rumbling for months after records taken at the point of his arrest in New York, in April 2023, on allegations he falsified business records. At the time, he was said to be 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 240 pounds.

Then, at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia, in August 2023, his at 6ft 3inches tall.

Both Prince William and are taller than their parents, with Charles standing at around 5ft 9inches compared to who was almost 5ft 11inches.

The cathedral was closed after a major fire in April 2019, requiring a significant restoration programme during the five years since.

French President hosted world leaders including Trump and William, who is next in line to the British throne, to celebrate the re-opening on Saturday, December 7.

Photographs showed Trump and William sat at the British Embassy’s residence in Paris, where they discussed the U.K.-U.S. special relationship.

The meeting was of heightened significance in Britain against the backdrop of speculation there may be tension between the Labour Government of Keir Starmer and America’s next president, including over Labour party staff travelling to the U.S. during the election to help campaigners.
