Prince William was seen roaring in celebration following England’s victory in the Euro 2024 quarter final.

The Prince of Wales was seen cheering following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s winning penalty in the shootout.

Penning a personal message on Twitter, the heir to the throne wrote: “Nail biting to the very end. Well done England! Semi-finals here we come! We believe. W.”

Alexander-Arnold insisted England getting through to the semi-final was all that mattered as he netted the winning penalty.

The Liverpool star told BBC: “It’s incredible…they were difficult opponents again but the team showed a lot of character, a lot of belief, heart and spirit out there.

“We dug deep when it mattered most. We knew it was going to be tight but whatever it takes, no matter what, we win and that’s all that matters.”

On his match-winning penalty, Alexander-Arnold added: “It’s what we practised, a lot of practice goes into that moment. When the gaffer tells me I’m taking one, my belly doesn’t drop. I enjoy it. I knew I just needed to execute it.

“Every quarter-final has gone to extra-time, they’re fine margins but we’ve been able to win.”
