Prince William is reportedly maintaining a distance from his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as they “pivot towards” Prince Harry, according to a Royal expert.
Tom Quinn suggests the Prince of Wales may be feeling “increasingly isolated” as his wife Kate and father, King Charles, focus on their health following their cancer diagnoses. This could potentially affect his relationships with other family members.
Quinn suggested the future king might be feeling “paranoid” in the current circumstances. He also discussed William’s relationship with his cousins Eugenie and Beatrice, who were present at a garden party at Buckingham Palace earlier this week.Â
“As his two cousins pivot towards his exiled brother, and with his wife and father incapacitated by illness, William feels increasingly isolated and in the closed hothouse atmosphere of Kensington Palace and Windsor he is bound to feel increasingly paranoid,” Quinn told the Mirror.
He added: “For William it’s a question of loyalty as Beatrice and Eugenie have got closer to Harry William has decided to keep them very much at arm’s length.”
It’s known the two sisters are close to William’s brother, Harry, with the Duke of Sussex believing his cousins can “sympathise” with him the most, Quinn noted.
There is reportedly “serious concern” within the confines of Kensington Palace about the increasingly close relationship between Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Harry and Meghan, according to author Mr Quinn.
He stated: “There is serious concern at Kensington Palace that Prince Andrew’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie are becoming increasingly close to Harry and Meghan. Beatrice and Eugenie are moving across to what one Kensington Palace official described as ‘the dark side’.”
