The Prince of Wales, who is the president of the FA, is no doubt enjoying some pre-birthday celebrations out in Germany ahead of turning 42 on Friday, 21 June. William is amongst thousands of England fans out in Germany supporting Gareth Southgate’s men throughout the Euro 2024 tournament, which began on 14 June. The Royal, who is an avid football fan, attended England’s Euros games in 2021, but did not appear at the World Cup in Qatar last year.
England fans are hoping for another win tonight (Thursday, 20 June), as one more point will guarantee England’s spot in the knockout stage, following Serbia’s draw with Slovenia. England won their first match of the tournament against Serbia on 16 June.
William’s arrival in Germany comes after he made a surprise visit to St George’s Park – the England team’s national football centre in Burton upon Trent. He gave the team shirts before they made their way to Germany ahead of the Euros.
