King Charles III did not see because he “was about to leave to go on a state visit” and it’s not “a priority for the king,” a royal author told Regalrumination.com.
Harry arrived in Britain on Sunday ahead of the start of a crunch two-day Court of Appeal hearing, in London, in his lawsuit against the British Government which began on Tuesday. He was seen arriving again for its second day on Wednesday.
And Charles flew out of the U.K. on an official visit to Italy on Monday, during which he is celebrating his 20 year wedding anniversary with Queen Camilla today, Wednesday, April 9.

Robert Jobson, author of Our King: Charles III, told Regalrumination.com: “I honestly don’t think it’s a priority for the king. I think it’s sad but given what’s going on, he’s undergoing his chemotherapy, he’s very busy, Harry hasn’t exactly enamored himself to the queen or to his brother.
“Given what’s gone on what does he expect?”
Harry’s book, Spare, described Queen Camilla as “dangerous,” said she had “sacrificed” him on her “PR altar” and revealed that he and did not want their father to marry Camilla.
That particular disclosure may be particularly potent currently, as King Charles and Camilla mark the 20th anniversary of the wedding Harry did not want to happen.
Jobson, though, suggests the lack of a meeting between them does not represent a new nadir in their relationship and conflicting schedules may be the real reason.
“The king is very busy,” he said. “Harry arrived himself on the eve of Meghan’s podcast, the court case was scheduled by the courts, the timing is nothing to do with Harry.
“And the king was about to leave to go on a state visit. He’s not going to make a massive change to his plans just because his son’s flying in.
“I know a lot of people think that’s strange but he doesn’t operate like that. I don’t think its a new phase of hostility, he’s just focussing on what he’s doing. The circumstances mean he can’t.
“I think everyone is fairly resigned to that and it is what it is.”
Charles and Camilla’s visit was also not all about the anniversary and included some key diplomacy at a crucial time.
The king was photographed meeting Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni in Rome on Wednesday, at a time of international turmoil brought on by ‘s tariffs.
Italy is part of the , which is being hit with 20 percent tariffs, while Britain has faces the 10 percent minimum after a charm offensive led by U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the king and Prince William.
If the tariffs are here to stay, Britain will need to decide whether to pursue greater ties to European to compensate for an anticipated drop in trade with America.
