Prince Harry is sitting down for another on-camera interview, and this time it’s for a documentary about phone hacking—something Harry unfortunately has some experience with. ITV announced on Wednesday that the royal will be making an appearance in the upcoming documentary, Tabloids on Trial, set to premiere on July 25.
ITV royals editor Chris Ship shared the news on X with two stills from the forthcoming project showing Harry across from reporter Becca Barry. Ship also revealed that other public figures, including Hugh Grant, Charlotte Church, and Paul Gascoigne, will be sharing their experiences in the doc.
He tells our reporter @BeccaBarry why he is fighting to expose what he says are the illegal activities of Britain’s tabloid newspapers. Hugh Grant, Charlotte Church, Paul Gascoigne also speak,” Ship shared. “‘Tabloids on Trial’ ITV1, 9pm on July 25.”
The documentary comes on the heels of Harry’s legal battles against newspaper publishers in Britain. In December 2023, Harry won his trial against Mirror Group Newspapers for phone hacking, in addition to other “unlawful acts,” according to People.
At the time, David Sherbourne, Harry’s lawyer, read a statement on behalf of the prince. “Today is a great day for truth as well as accountability,” his message read. “I’ve been told that slaying dragons will get you burned. But in light of today’s victory and the importance of doing what is needed for a free and honest press–it’s a worthwhile price to pay. The mission continues.”
