Meghan Markle’s rumored memoir plans seem to have hit a roadblock, according to Marie Claire. In an article by Iris Goldstein, it’s alleged that Prince Harry has intervened, fearing potential repercussions from his wife revealing more details about their life. The source claims Harry has put a stop to the plans as he seeks reconciliation with his royal relatives.

While Meghan reportedly wanted to set the record straight, Harry’s memoir saga nearly ruined any chance of reconciliation with the royal family. Determined to avoid repeating the same mistake, Harry seems to have nixed Meghan’s memoir aspirations, despite her desire to assert control and share her version of events.

Royal expert Tom Bow had previously hinted at a potential tell-all book from Meghan, suggesting it was imminent. A memoir would offer Meghan the chance to put her perspective into writing and earn a significant fee, a tempting proposition for someone looking to assert control. However, a source from OK! Magazine reveals that Harry is not on board with another memoir from the Sussex camp.

Despite having enough material for a follow-up to his own memoir, Harry has reportedly scrapped those plans and put an end to Meghan’s book as well. Initially unhappy with this decision, Meghan now seems to have a clearer vision of how to mend fences with the royal family.

Currently, Harry is reportedly not speaking to his older brother, Prince William, though he and Meghan reached out to Princess Catherine while she was in the hospital. There have been signs of reconciliation with King Charles, with Harry calling him for his birthday in November, deemed a successful conversation.

Royal expert Duncan Larcom suggests that another Sussex memoir would only fuel existing tensions and hinder Harry’s hopes of healing the rift with his family. While 2024 could be a year of peace between the Royals, the suggestion that Harry has managed to stop Meghan from writing a memoir for reconciliation purposes is highly doubtful.

Meghan’s actions are driven by her own motivations, and if she believes that reconciling with the royal family is beneficial, she might temporarily postpone her memoir. 

However, ultimately, she will pursue her own goals, regardless of Harry’s wishes. The notion that Harry has permanently stopped Meghan’s memoir plans to aid in reconciling with the royal family is unrealistic. She’s not bound to follow his preferences, and the allure of sharing her story remains compelling.
