An alleged falling out between two powerful socialite forces, Nicola Beckham and Meghan Markle. Word on the street is that Posh Spice’s wife blocked Meghan from rubbing shoulders with the exclusive Beach Club’s elite A-listers by refusing to lend out their fancy yacht. 

For those unfamiliar, Nicola Beckham is married to British soccer legend David Beckham and runs in the highest echelons of international society. Along with her fashion designer friend Rachel Zoe, Nicola is something of a social director for the exclusive Soho Beach House Club, curating lavish events and activities for wealthy members. 

One of Nicola’s favorite perks is whisking VIP clients and A-list pals around the picturesque coastline on her and David’s luxury yacht, Seven. Nothing builds social capital like a day of cocktails and canaps while cruising the California surf. And with her connections, Nicola can get folks into only the most exclusive parties and dinners alongside celebrities and billionaires.

That’s where Meghan supposedly came into the picture, desperate to infiltrate the club’s glamorous in-crowd since relocating to the ritzy enclave with Harry post-Megxit. Word is she repeatedly begged Nicola for an invitation onto the yacht to schmooze with Hollywood hotshots like Oprah, Ellen, and the Kardashians

. But according to sources, ever-savvy Nicola saw right through Meghan’s desperation for status and declined her requests, knowing the limelight-loving Sussexes would only cause drama and upstage her carefully planned social calendar.

Multiple yachting insiders have confirmed that Nicola flat-out refused Meghan access, thinking she’d try hijacking conversations and one-upping other guests’ accomplishments, as she’s prone to do. After all, no one wants to be upstaged in their own friend group. 

Naturally, this didn’t sit well with entitled Meghan, who’s used to getting her way. Sources say she angrily confronted Nicola at an LV VIP event, demanding to know why she was being iced out while less famous B-listers were granted yacht privileges. But no-nonsense Nicola was said to coolly reply that her social calendar was full and private, hinting Meghan hasn’t quite earned the respect and reputation among the club’s upper crust to join intimate affairs. Ouch.

Word is fuming Meghan then badmouthed Nicola to nearby guests, falsely claiming she was threatened with a lawsuit to cover why they couldn’t be friends. Sounds like our Sussex princess was used to getting her way back in Windsor and isn’t adjusting well to the exclusive California scene, where not everyone worships her. Since then, the two ladies have reportedly been engaged in a cold social war, strategically blocking each other from coveted charity galas, polo matches, and society soires.

 Even Rachel Zoe has allegedly taken Nicola’s side, snubbing Meghan’s efforts to cozy up at swanky Beach Club mixers. With Soho House running the town’s top social circuits, losing Nicola and Rachel’s blessing is a major blow for Meghan trying to cement her A-list status. I hear she’s been desperately clinging to her celebrity friends like Serena Williams to stay relevant, even third- and fourth-wheeling their outings.

Now, is this all just idle Hollywood gossip, or could there actually be some bad blood brewing between two powerful social forces? Only time will tell how their social rivalry progresses, but you know I’ll keep you posted if any more sneaky backstabbing emerges.

 Personally, I stand with Nicola wanting to curate an exclusive, drama-free experience for her VIP clients and pals. Meghan does have a history of hijacking attention wherever she goes, but it would be hilarious if Prince Privacy tried crashing Nicola’s yacht soires just to prove a point.
