fans may be getting some new music from the star sooner than they’d anticipated. Following the drop of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, most Swifties figured it would be a while before she released another studio record. And while that still may be the case, it sounds like she could be featured on an upcoming single.
There’s one musician in particular who is hoping to work with Swift in the not-so-distant future.

“I want to collaborate with Sting and ,” said in a March stream of . As for what Santana has in mind, he’s thinking of potentially recording a cover with Swift. He named off a few ideas, including Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” and “Just Like a Woman” by Bob Dylan.
“II think that for many, many centuries women have gotten a bum rap from the male gaze,” Santana explained. “I gotta get together with my sister and take the female queen goddess to a whole other level of deep appreciation and validation.”
Both Santana and Swift have been known to do collaborations over the course of their respective careers. The well-known guitarist has recorded music with Rihanna, Michael Jackson and Michelle Branch, while Swift has worked with Ed Sheeran, Zayn Malik, and Post Malone.
And, as fate would have it, Santana isn’t the only musician that wants to get in the studio with Swift. On the March 21 episode of , SZA said that she would like to work with the “Bad Blood” singer.
“Every time she walks up to me or approaches me, I’m just like, ‘All right, this is happening, because that’s fully Taylor Swift,” SZA said. “I think I mentioned that I would love to write with her and build some things together. I love her storytelling. She was open to it.”
For the time being, fans are anxiously awaiting the re-release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
