Meghan Markle found herself grappling with a profound identity crisis during her time in the royal family, reportedly triggered by comparisons with Kate Middleton and Victoria Beckham. 

In a revealing new book titled “The House of Beckhams” by royal author Tom Bower, it’s disclosed that Meghan experienced a tumultuous range of emotions upon realizing her place within the royal hierarchy.

According to the Daily Express, Meghan was notably “irritated” upon learning that the Beckhams, renowned A-listers, possessed greater wealth than her despite her marriage to Prince Harry.

Bower explains, “In Meghan’s world of celebrity, status often hinges on wealth and fame. Meghan, being savvy, initially believed her royal status positioned her above Victoria Beckham in the social hierarchy.”

However, this perception was shattered when Meghan discovered the extent of the Beckhams’ wealth, which included multiple residences, access to private jets, and luxurious yachts. All this while Meghan was soon to become a duchess herself.

Initially, Meghan and Victoria enjoyed a close friendship. However, Prince Harry’s allegations against the fashion icon for allegedly leaking stories to the media strained their relationship.

Meghan’s resentment towards Kate Middleton, who enjoys the status of future queen consort as Prince William’s wife, further exacerbated her feelings of inferiority within the royal family.

Bower’s revelations paint a picture of Meghan navigating complex social dynamics and struggling with her place in both the royal family and the celebrity world, highlighting the challenges she faced during her time as a member of the British monarchy.
