Just when you thought the drama surrounding Meghan Markle and the royal family couldn’t get any juicier, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly plotting her next move – and it’s sure to ruffle some feathers in Buckingham Palace.
Sources claim Meghan is seriously considering penning a bombshell memoir that would lift the lid on the tensions and power struggles that led to her and Prince Harry’s dramatic departure from royal life.
And if the astronomical book deals some of her fellow Windsors have commanded are any indication, Meghan could be poised to earn a small fortune with her supposed “tell-all.”
“Meghan sees this as the perfect opportunity to get her side of the story out there and settle a few scores,” a so-called “insider” told a British tabloid. “She’s absolutely convinced that the royals have been unfairly painted as the villains, and she’s determined to change that narrative.”
Of course, the prospect of Meghan unleashing her grievances in print has the palace aides shaking in their bespoke loafers. After all, the Sussexes’ infamous Oprah Winfrey interview was more than enough drama for one lifetime.
“They’re dreading what Meghan might reveal,” the source continued. “The knives will definitely be out, and no one is safe – not even the Queen.”
Harry’s memoir, Spare, has already ruffled more than a few royal feathers, with its juicy tidbits about sibling rivalries and family dysfunction. But royal watchers believe Meghan’s version would take the chaos to a whole new level.
“Meghan sees this as her chance at redemption,” the insider claimed. “She’s been painted as the villain for far too long, and she’s ready to fight back – celebrity-style.”
And the potential payday doesn’t hurt, either. With the couple’s lucrative media deals, including a reported $100 million Netflix contract, Meghan could be eyeing a book deal in the stratospheric range.
After all, Prince Harry’s memoir reportedly netted him a $20 million advance, while Prince Andrew’s disastrous Newsnight interview was said to be worth a cool £10 million.
“Meghan knows she has the power to cause a real earthquake within the royal family,” the source concluded. “And you can bet she’ll use every bit of it to her advantage.”
