But it seems that next month, Meghan might just be told to stay home. Yes, it’s rumored that Prince Harry will attend the Invictus Games in British Columbia, Canada, without his wife. The event will run from February 8th to 16th, and Meghan has attended every year since its inception—always making it about herself, whether it’s showcasing her fashion choices or making awkward attempts to connect with veterans. So, is this the year she’ll finally be sidelined?

Apparently, Meghan enjoys attending because it lets her bask in the limelight while allegedly supporting Harry, but many believe it’s really about her desire to be the center of attention. We’re going to dive into that a little later, so stay with me.

This comes on the heels of a scathing Vanity Fair article that paints Meghan as a “mean girl,” with insiders claiming that former staffers needed long-term therapy after working with her. Ouch. I believe these employees worked with Meghan during the whole Spotify era, so it’s no surprise this is making waves.

In a poll launched earlier this week by Express, an overwhelming 94% of respondents said they think Meghan should stay home and let Harry go to the Invictus Games alone. It seems the public isn’t exactly keen on seeing Meghan there. And then there’s PR expert Edward Corum-James, who believes that Meghan attending could either be a “statement of unity” or a “distraction.” If you ask me, it’s clearly the latter. Every time she attends, the spotlight shifts from the veterans to her—and that’s the last thing the Invictus Games should be about.

According to Corum-James, when Harry and Meghan appear together, they bring unnecessary baggage. Meghan’s attendance could overshadow what the games are truly about: supporting veterans, not royal drama. And while there’s a chance that if she doesn’t attend, people will speculate about the state of their marriage, that speculation is already here. Reports suggest Meghan’s been quietly shopping a post-divorce memoir, so the rumors are circulating regardless.

In fact, I reported over a year ago that the Invictus Games organizers didn’t even want Meghan there in Canada. Angela Levin, a royal expert, claimed that veterans are disappointed that Harry is no longer a part of their “wave” and that the games have become too royal-focused. Some veterans have even walked away, saying the games no longer serve their intended purpose.

Angela Levin has also mentioned that Meghan’s past speeches, including one where she arrived late and made an awkward excuse about feeding her children milkshakes, didn’t sit well with veterans. The fact that she has no understanding of the military struggles makes it feel out of place when she tries to take the stage. The veterans, understandably, aren’t happy about this.

So, to wrap things up, it looks like Meghan may be banned from attending the Invictus Games next month. Harry has reportedly been advised not to bring her, and there are serious concerns that she’ll only take attention away from the event’s true purpose.
