Meghan Markle has reportedly issued one essential condition to Prince Harry if she ever was to return to the UK from their home in the US, according to a royal expert.

The young family haven’t returned a lot to the UK since their move overseas to California in 2020, with Meghan making her last trip to Britain in 2022. And one royal expert has maintained that they know the reason why.

It has now been claimed that Meghan has voiced to Harry that she will only return if they have a place of their own to stay – and the appropriate security.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn explained: “Meghan has said she’s only prepared to return to England if she and Harry have a place of their own and the security they both feel is essential. Meghan will never return to the UK and stay with her husband‘s relatives.”

He added: “If the couple manage to find a permanent home and sort out the security issue they will certainly want to bring their children to the UK but it’s going to take a lot of diplomacy to get to the point where Archie and Lili are able to develop a genuine and warm relationship with their cousins George, Charlotte and Louis.”

These comments come after Harry won the right to take his case to the Appeal Court against the High Court’s decision that the level of protection he and his family receive in Britain is reasonable.

The public wondered whether Harry and Meghan might make an appeance at this year’s Trooping the Colour, but the pair were not there, marking the second year in a row that they won’t be attending the annual event.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were regular attendees in 2018 and 2019, have found themselves excluded from several key royal events since they stepped down from the monarchy and moved to the United States.

However, lots of other members of the royal family did attend this year’s celebrations including Kate Middleton who has recently said she’s making “good process” in her cancer treatment.
