Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their ESPY Awards debut on Thursday in Los Angeles. The couple attended the ceremony in coordinated black-and-white looks.
Markle chose a white dress with a backless silhouette and a cowl halter neck. The white fabric cascaded down her body and transitioned into a flared skirt. She completed her look with black sandals and accessorized with a Cartier bracelet and rings.
Harry kept it classic in a black suit, white button-down shirt and skinny tie. He completed his outfit with patent leather shoes.
Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service during the 2024 ESPYs. The award honored his work as the founder of the Invictus Games, an international athletic competition for wounded and sick military members and veterans, established in 2014. The award recognizes individuals who have used their connection to the sports world to positively impact the lives of others.

GETTY IMAGESSerena Williams, a close friend of the couple and host of the 2024 ESPY Awards, included them in her opening speech saying, “It’s well, actually only pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception. Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let’s give it up for them,” she said. “But please, Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight because this is my night, and I don’t want to be overshadowed by the accusations that you guys are taking up too much oxygen, okay?”

This was Harry and Markle’s first public appearance since May when they visited Nigeria to celebrate the Invictus Games anniversary.
In March, Markle announced her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, which was created to sell food, tableware and more. The brand has yet to release its first products.

The ESPY, Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, Awards honor the best athletes in sports from the WNBA, MLB, UFC and more. Coco Gauff, Caitlin Clark and Patrick Mahomes are among the 2024 ESPY Awards high-profile nominees. 23-time Grand Slam champion and ESPY Award recipient Serena Williams will serve as host for the evening’s ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
