Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “really get into it in a big way” when they argue, a Kensington Palace aide has claimed.
Royal expert Tom Quinn has shared his private conversations with a Palace insider, who shared details of explosive rows between the Sussexes as well as dishing the dirt on Prince William and Princess Kate’s lives behind closed doors. The Royal author – who penned – Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family – shared what he learned in detail. He said: “Someone who worked for Kensington Palace told me they [William and Kate] do have rows. It’s not a perfect marriage. They have terrific rows.”
Speaking to the Express US Quinn then gave away the unique way in which William and Kate resolve their conflict as he explained “where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It’s always kept under control. It doesn’t escalate. The fight doesn’t get bigger and bigger.”
However, according to his source when it comes to Harry and Meghan, things couldn’t be more different. They said: “When Harry and Meghan fight, they both really get into it in a big way.” Quinn believes that the quirky approach taken by William and Kate is thanks to the late Queen’s legacy. He described how Queen Elizabeth II lived by her mantra “never complain, never explain,” noting that while William and Kate have also taken on the mantra for their own lives, Harry and Meghan have distanced themselves from The Firm following their own trajectory.
Quinn gave insight into his train of thought by detailing how “because William adopts the manners and ways of behaving of his grandmother and Kate is very good at not complaining, both of them have stuck to the thing that made Queen Elizabeth II such a remarkable monarch.”
He continued his glowing account of The Prince and Princess of Wales by highlighting how “they very rarely complain and when they do it’s always in measured terms.” He also suggested that it is far easier for William and Kate to resolve any conflict as they have remained private people and therefore do not face the high levels of “scrutiny” that Harry and Meghan endure, meaning they are “less picked apart than Harry and Meghan.”
Despite stepping away from their roles as working Royals in 2020 Harry and Meghan have only seen their roles in public grow in that time after signing a series of lucrative deals including tell-all books, and multi-million deals with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify.
