Country singer John Rich has said that he is writing a song about Sean “Diddy” Combs, which one fan has called “kinda dark.”

Combs, a 55-year-old rapper and record producer, was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering in September. The indictment accuses him of running a criminal enterprise over several years that involves coercing individuals to participate in various sexual acts. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City.

Now Rich has said he is writing a new song, dedicated to Combs, titled “Get My Gun.” According to lyrics the singer posted to X, formerly , the track is about an omnipresent “evil” running around, with Rich encouraging it to “run.” Regalrumination.com emailed spokespeople for Diddy and Rich for comment on Tuesday outside of normal business hours.

“That’s kinda dark John! Just saying! Love you brother,” one fan commented, to which the singer responded: “It certainly is … for them.”

Once the fan realized the song was about Diddy, they added: “Oh now that it’s about Diddy—not dark enough! Recant my earlier critique!”

Other X users also took to the comments to share their thoughts, with one person writing: “You, sir, are my hero.”

“I can’t wait to get to hear this one. Awesome lyrics so far,” said another.

Someone else added: “Oh, I can’t wait to hear the full version to music!”

Subramanian said the indictment charged Combs with “serious and violent crimes.” He also cited evidence of witness tampering, including Combs initiating a conversation with a witness who was subpoenaed to testify before the grand jury. Combs’ trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.

Legal representatives for Combs called the suits “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them.” They added that “Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”
