Reports are surfacing that Meghan Markle is reportedly ready to end her marriage to Prince Harry. But is there any truth to this? 

Royal expert Hugo Vickers has stepped into the fray, stating, “Mark my words, Meghan has dumped the royal family, dumped her friends, and now it looks like Harry might be next.” 

Earlier this month, Meghan raised eyebrows by making solo appearances without Harry, while he was also seen attending events alone in New York and Africa. This growing trend has fueled speculation about their relationship. 

Since Meghan entered Harry’s life, there have been whispers of her distancing herself from various people, including her family and former close friends like Jessica Mulroney. Additionally, rumors suggest tension between Meghan and tennis star Serena Williams, with some even interpreting Serena’s comments at a recent Taylor Swift concert as shade directed at Meghan. There are also indications that Sophie Trudeau has distanced herself from Meghan, further hinting at strained relationships.

Royal observers have noted that Meghan and Harry seem to be living increasingly separate lives. A local newspaper reported on this, but I previously debunked that claim, clarifying that the report was based on others’ beliefs rather than the newspaper’s stance.

Now, Hugo Vickers, who is a royal biographer and broadcaster, expressed concern that Meghan’s past behavior may indicate a pattern that could lead to Harry suffering. He noted, “People usually act in character, and her track record shows she has cut ties with numerous people in her life.” 

Vickers pointed out that Meghan has previously ended relationships with her father, her first husband, and even her Canadian chef lover, which raises the question: who’s next on the chopping block? “I think inevitably, it will probably be Prince Harry,” he remarked, suggesting that Meghan might one day feel she no longer needs him.

Personally, I’ve always believed it’s likely that Meghan will initiate any divorce proceedings. If I had to bet, I would say she’s the one who would push that button, not Harry. I think there will come a point when Meghan believes she can achieve success and fame on her own, without Harry.

Hugo also predicted that if a divorce occurs, Harry would likely be portrayed as the villain. “She has a tendency to play the victim and will likely frame Harry as the one in the wrong,” he noted. Meghan’s narrative often positions her as the wronged party, despite her involvement in the situation.

As we’ve seen in the past, Meghan often highlights Harry’s struggles, including his issues with substance use, which could further complicate things if they decide to part ways. 

In his assessment, Vickers suggested that Meghan’s behavior over the years could potentially leave Harry in a difficult place. While I don’t feel particularly sympathetic toward him—he is an adult who made his own choices—I understand why some might.

As we analyze the state of their marriage, it’s clear that both Meghan and Harry’s public personas have been heavily scrutinized, and the marriage itself hasn’t garnered much popularity. Despite their attempts to carve out individual paths, such as Harry’s work with the Invictus Games, there have been challenges. For example, the latest Invictus documentary received a lukewarm reception, and there’s talk that upcoming games in Canada might be affected by their involvement.

Vickers summed it up well: “Harry has been drawn into a victim narrative.” His frequent complaints about life and his public struggles have overshadowed any positive contributions he has made.

The speculation surrounding their marriage has only intensified as it has been reported that Harry recently took a three-week break that included a solo trip to Africa, where he celebrated his 40th birthday without Meghan. 

Historically, Harry and Meghan have been inseparable in their public appearances, so the sudden shift to solo engagements raises eyebrows. While a Sussex confidant tried to downplay these changes, stating it’s normal for couples to have time apart, the reality is that this marks a significant shift in their relationship dynamic.
