Over the past few weeks, has been revealing its picks for its “Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century” list, and it’s safe to say that pop superfans are in a frenzy over the rankings — including one upset superfan: his wife, .
Last month, Billboard named the Grammy winner, 30, the eighth-greatest pop star of the 21st century — and Hailey, 27, is taking major issue with that number.
Though some might say No. 8 is a good placement, Hailey was not having it. Standing by her man, the Rhode Skincare founder wrote in the comments of Billboard‘s post, “Billboard is a f**king joke as per usual!” While the comment was likely written around the time of the placement’s original publishing, fans only seemingly just caught wind of Hailey’s response — as a screenshot of the reaction began surfacing online Thursday, November 21.
Justin himself hasn’t released an album since 2022’s Justice, however, in the span of his career, he’s accomplished several Billboard-related milestones. The “Peaches” hitmaker has six Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles to his credit. All six of his studio albums have also topped the Billboard 200 chart.
While Justin has seen much success as a musician, he has bigger priorities these days. In August, Justin and Hailey welcomed son Jack Blues Bieber.
In a conversation with the shared in October, Hailey’s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, shared that being in the spotlight has taken a backseat for the superstar couple, as they’ve been focusing on raising baby Jack.
“They’re just spending really sweet, private quality time with Jack and we’re just getting ready to watch him come out on the world here, come out on the scene,” Baldwin said.
Baldwin also shared that he’s been enjoying grandad duty.
“Sometimes grandpa can clean up,” Baldwin said.
Hailey wasn’t the only one who took issue with the pop star list. On Tuesday, November 19, singer The Weeknd took to X (formerly ) to express frustration that Lana Del Rey, a friend and collaborator of his, was excluded from the rankings.
“where is Lana on that billboard’s greatest pop star list?” the “Blinding Lights” hitmaker wrote.
