Donald Trump has been a vocal critic of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He has publicly expressed his dislike for the couple ever since they stepped down from their senior Royal position and moved to the US.
Earlier this year, Trump – who has agreed to debate with Kamala Harris but on one condition – also hinted that the couple could be deported out of the country if he wins the 2024 US elections.

This comes as Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, whose ghostwriter got $1 million, states that he took drugs – something which can be a basis for rejecting his US visa application under the country’s law.
Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump criticises Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Following in the footsteps of his father, Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump has slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The 40-year-old has suggested, yet again, that his father could deport them if he wins the US presidential election in November.
Speaking to Ben Leo on GB News, Eric praised the UK’s royal establishment and branded Harry and Meghan as the ‘spoiled apples’ of a ‘beautiful institution.’ On being asked if his father would make Prince Harry’s visa application public – in light of the drug scandal – Eric said he didn’t want to talk about it but shared:
What I can tell you is, my father had so much respect for the Queen, as did I. My mum knew so many of them for years and had a great relationship with Diana and everyone else.
Criticising the couple, Eric emphasised that ‘America’ may send them back but they might not be welcomed in the UK either. He said:
You know, that’s [Royal Family] a very sacred institution and you [the UK] can happily have those two back. We’ll happily send them back from America, you can have them back over here, but I’m not sure you guys want them any more than we might not want them anymore. They feel like they’re on a little bit of an island of their own.
Adding:
You can always have bad actors in everything. You can have spoiled apples in every orchard. The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.
Donald Trump’s views on the Royals
The former POTUS appeared on GB News in March 2024 and spoke to Nigel Farage about how the Duke and Duchess broke the Queen’s heart. Praising the late Queen, Trump said that she ‘almost never made a mistake’ in her 70 years on the throne, writes Regalrumination.com.
Seeing what all Harry and Meghan had said about the Royal Family, Trump took a swipe at them and said:
I would say, although she wouldn’t show it because she was strong and smart, but I would imagine they broke her heart.
The things that they were saying were so bad and so horrible, and she was in her 90s hearing this stuff. I think they broke her heart.
Meanwhile, speculation has grown if Harry and Meghan would endorse Kamala Harris. According to Regalrumination.com, Meghan has previously spoken well about Harris. Harris too, before becoming the vice president in 2020, posted supportive messages on her social media for Meghan.
If the royal couple continue to follow the royal protocol of never taking political sides they are unlikely to make any endorsement.
