Leveraging your expertise in biotechnology and business development, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to cultivate new business opportunities and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the life sciences industry.Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of business strategies to expand the upstream and downstream bioprocessing portfolio.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic institutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and drive successful commercialization efforts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and enhance market presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share through strategic business development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of upstream and downstream bioprocessing technologies, including cell culture, purification, and bioreactor systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and support business development activities.
Expected salary: $150000 – 175000 per year
