A royal expert has stated that Prince Harry “misses his old life.” In 2020, the Duke of Sussex, who was 39 at the time, left his position as a working royal and relocated to the United States. Thousands of miles away from his royal relatives in the United Kingdom, Harry and his wife Meghan are currently raising their children, Archie, who is five years old, and Lilibet, who is three years old, in the prestigious neighborhood of Montecito, which is located in Los Angeles.
Since then, he has only made a few excursions back to the United Kingdom, during which he has attended the funerals of Prince Philip and the late Queen, as well as paid a visit to his father, King Charles after the latter was diagnosed with cancer. Harry claims that he does not feel comfortable bringing his family to the United Kingdom because he no longer receives the security that was financed by the taxpayers after he left the Royal Family.
Due to the fact that they made the decision to depart and give up access to the royal treasuries, Prince Harry and Meghan had to discover new means to make money. They were able to accomplish this by entering into agreements with Netflix and Spotify and selling their stories. Due to the fact that Harry’s inner circle was headquartered in the United Kingdom, and many of them continue to be friends with his rival sibling, Prince William, they have also had to establish a new friendship network in the United States on their own.
To add insult to injury, Prince Harry expressed his elation over the fact that he was enjoying “every single day” of his new life on “Good Morning America” in February, describing it as “amazing.”
On the other hand, Tom Quinn, a specialist on royal affairs, claims that Prince Harry is not as content as he appears to be behind the scenes. Even though he and Meghan are looking forward to their upcoming tour to Columbia, he claims that the royal is frequently “bored” and “misses his old life.”
“He is trained from birth to do one thing only – to be a Royal and he has thrown that away. His one hundred percent support for his wife and her business ventures has never wavered but he doesn’t really have very much to do on a day-to-day basis. After he’s taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan,” the royal author said.
Meanwhile, Tom went on to say that Prince Harry’s aspirations of reuniting with King Charles and Prince William are proving increasingly fruitless, which is causing him to reevaluate his plan.
“When it comes to his relatives in the UK, he is hugely conflicted. He is upset that he’s out in the cold more than ever and is beginning to think that his endless demands for apologies will have to be put on the back burner if some kind of truce is ever to be achieved. He wants a truce partly for selfish reasons – he’s finally realised that he needs to continue being some kind of a Royal if the United States is to continue to be interested in him,” the royal author claimed.
After receiving an invitation from Colombia’s Vice President Francia Mrquez, who is also the country’s Minister of Equality, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed their intention to visit to Bogota, the capital of Colombia.
The tour will take place in advance of the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, which is scheduled to take place in Colombia in the month of November.
“They will have the exceptional opportunity to engage with leaders, youth, and women who embody the aspirations and voices of Colombians committed to progress. In addition to these meaningful interactions, The Duke and Duchess will experience the rich heritage of Colombia. The Archewell Foundation, founded by The Duke and Duchess, is renowned for its global leadership in fostering a safer online environment. The forthcoming conference will unveil a comprehensive framework for creating safer physical and digital spaces, tackling issues such as cyberbullying, online exploitation, and the mental health impacts of these threats. It will offer actionable solutions and commitments for countries around the world,” Vice President Mrquez said, as per Town & Country Magazine.
It is expected that the Sussex pair will be protected by a significant amount of security during the trip, which will be covered by a single reporter in addition to official photographers and videographers selected by the couple. The news comes after Prince Harry and Meghan, who are 42 years old, returned from a three-day tour of Nigeria earlier this year, during which they were ecstatic about the reception and publicity they received.
“Harry and Meghan will carry out a series of engagements aligned to the work of their Foundation and lifelong philanthropic endeavours. The visit is part of their ongoing commitment to global philanthropy, building on their previous work in various countries and continuing their efforts to make a positive impact worldwide,” an anonymous insider told The Mirror.
