Job description: Job Description-As the SME, you will be involved in reviewing and implementing Akamai Bot Manager protections on our client’s Akamai Web Application firewall to identify, categorize and manage public crawlers, SEO engines and other automated scraping bots. A significant portion of Akamai traffic has been identified as bot traffic. You will be involved in integrating log forwarding of Akamai Edge traffic logs to our client’s ingestion infrastructure. By enabling log ingestion into existing Splunk log ingestion endpoints, significant insights, analysis of real-time traffic and sharing of log data to other groups within our client’s network. This will establish ingestion from the following additional data sources: Acquia, Akamai and build foundation for future state for ServiceNow, Pingdom, Box, and Microsoft Defender in Azure.Basic Qualification
- 3+ years of experience using Akamai Content Delivery Network (CDN) and/or Acquia Cloud (Drupal PaaS)
- Experience with networking, DNS, Certificate/PKI principles
- Experience reviewing currently configured alerts, define alarm policies, and update existing monitors
- Experience performing analysis of applications (also referred to as Akamai Properties) and their Akamai configuration, define baseline for configurations, review best practices with Akamai Technical Account Manager/Akamai Engineers and implement changes.
- Experience with Splunk, ServiceNow, Pingdom, Box, and Microsoft Defender in Azure
- Experience providing ongoing security support to maintain ingestion capabilities, continuously tune alerts and dashboards, and investigate cyber events alerted by Splunk
- Ability to analyze requirements, design, implement, and operate highly available and scalable firewall and network security solutions in cloud environments
- Ability to lead a team of engineers in the development of complex integrated solutions
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- HS diploma or GED
