Well, get this: earlier this week, it was quietly announced by Buckingham Palace that the Queen had decided to strip Harry of his Captain General of the Royal Marines title, effective immediately. This is a huge blow for Harry, and it’s clear that this was no coincidence.

 After over a decade as Captain General, it seems Harry has finally lost his very last symbolic tie to the British military. Many royal commentators are speculating that Prince William likely played a significant role behind the scenes to make this happen. As you may know, William is also deeply involved with the Royal Marines in his role as Honorary Air Commandant of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. It’s believed that William used his close connections and influence within the military to put pressure on the Queen to remove Harry’s title.

Sources are claiming that William argued it was inappropriate for Harry to continue representing the Royal Marines given he has stepped away from royal duties and now lives in California. William is said to have stressed that it didn’t make much sense, logistically or symbolically, for Harry to keep a British military title when he no longer resides in the UK and is regularly criticizing the monarchy. The sources say the Queen was initially reluctant to remove the title, but William convinced her it was the right call in the long run.

So, in essence, this seems like a calculated move by William to inflict some major revenge on his brother for disrespecting the royal family. By orchestrating the removal of Harry’s Captain General title, William has successfully ensured that Harry has now lost absolutely all symbolic ties to the British military. It’s the ultimate humiliation. Of course, Harry still retains his title as Baron Kilkeel, which was gifted to him in 2015 when he married Meghan. However, royal experts are now saying it’s only a matter of time before Harry loses that title too, especially in the wake of losing his Captain General role. 

It’s believed William will keep the pressure on the Queen to fully remove all of Harry’s honorary titles. The sources say William is determined to completely sever all remaining links between Harry and the British establishment as punishment for his Oprah interview and disloyalty. Stripping Harry of his Baron title would be the final nail in the coffin.

Unsurprisingly, news of Harry losing his Captain General role has not gone down well with him and Meghan. Sources close to the couple say they are livid about William’s apparent involvement and feel utterly betrayed. 

A friend of Meghan’s told the media that she sees this as a direct attack against her and Harry by William and the establishment. The friend claims Meghan has been left feeling even more isolated from the royal family and that this move proves they will never be welcomed back. She believes it’s further evidence that the monarchy wants to completely shut them out and eliminate any influence they still hold as a result of their titles.
